What is virtual doula support?

Virtual Doula Support provides you with all the information, all the tips, all the encouragement and all the confidence that I provide to all my clients, but it’s all delivered remotely, rather than in-person. Our exchanges are done via video chats and phone calls to offer you reassurance, support, information and resources through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.  

Choosing a virtual doula could be a good option for you if:

  • You want the expertise and support a doula can offer, but prefer to keep the birth space intimate and private.

  • You live in a remote area with limited access to in-person doulas, a virtual doula can provide support regardless of location. 

  • You want to be able to access support at any time through text, video calls, or online platforms, fitting into your schedule and needs. 

  • You feel comfortable handing the birth on your own, but would like someone neutral regarding information, understanding and support during pregnancy and postpartum.

  • You are seeking emotional support, encouragement, and a safe space to discuss concerns and anxieties, even through a screen.

Virtual Pregnancy & Birth Support

Option 1

Virtual Pregnancy & Birth Support means providing you support similar to the in-person services, but it’s conducted entirely remotely instead. 

What’s included:

  • Complementary consultation.

  • Complementary birth plan booklet. 

  • 2 online prenatal visits to discuss your birth plan and how I can best support you.

  • 24/7 support during labour - I will be available to you (and your partner) via phone throughout your labor, to offer guidance and suggestions, help you understand procedures, and answer questions about how to proceed or what’s happening. I’ll be the calm voice on the screen or on the phone, grounding you and keeping you encouraged and informed.

  • 1 online postpartum visit - To review your birth, answer your questions and give tips regarding feeding, newborn behaviour and care.

  • Discount for Prepared Feeding an online breastfeeding course with IBCLC, Amanda Devereaux from BEST Doula.

  • Phone, email and text message support during regular business hours from time of hire.
